About this event

The League of Women Voters of Greenwich presents its final America 250 event of 2026. Participants will include local high school students and adults, as well as teachers from Greenwich High School and Greenwich Academy. The discussion will focus on a new case featuring key members of the founding generation — Washington, Hamilton, Madison and Jefferson — as they grapple with whether the new central bank proposed by Alexander Hamilton exceeded the federal authority granted under the new Constitution. Closing comments will be delivered by Harvard Business School Professor David Moss, founder of this civics and history curriculum for high school students around the country.
