CANCELED: Henrico Community Authors Showcase

About this event

This program has been canceled. Come see Shannon Kapadia, author of The House That Hummed . In this debut picture book, a child notices that her house hums when something feels unsettled and discovers that naming what we feel is the first step to finding calm again. Warm, reassuring, and gently imaginative, it's a story for every child who has ever sensed that something was "off" and needed to know they weren't alone. Shannon is a children's book author, attorney, and mom who grew up in Richmond, and is a proud product of Henrico County Public Schools. When she isn't practicing law, or teaching at the University of Richmond School of Law, she's writing stories that help young children make sense of their big feelings.
