About this event
On select days that PVSD is closed, we will offer a Stories & S.T.E.M. program for students in grades K - 5.
These programs are open to all local public, private and homeschool students in grades K - 5 / ages 5 - 12
THIS SESSION WILL BE HELD AT PVL IN OUR NEWLY RENOVATED LIBRARY SPACE. You are welcome to park out back and enter directly to our lower level space. Doors open at
We will read Balloons Over Broadway: The True Story of the Puppeteer of Macy's Parade by Melissa Sweet
Young engineers will first map out their design plan on paper before creating their own fancy parade balloon. Students will work their way through the Engineering Design Process. Imagine-->Plan-->Create-->Test-->Improve-->Reflect-->Ask. We will finish our time together by having our own balloon parade.
Adults are welcome to participate, observe, or read/work in other library spaces, but must remain on-site. Younger siblings are welcome to enjoy the Children's Reading Room of the library with their grown up.
