About this event

For grades K-5. Use detective skills and creativity to search for clues in a historic artwork and then solve a mystery about the artist's life. Once the mystery is solved, make your own artwork!

Art History Detectives is four sessions (Nov 2 and 18, Dec 2 and 16). Each session will be a different mystery and art project. You can attend all four or mix and match!

Mystery Clues:

Nov 4 - Animal Portraits En Français

Nov 18 - Shoshone Art Across Two Generations (Celebrate Native American Heritage Month)

Dec 2 - Murals, Voices, and Power

Dec 16 - Birds and Polka Dots, Friends Forever

This program is intended for children in grades K-5. An adult caregiver is required to stay for all library programs.

Please register so we will know how many detectives to plan for!

LOCATION AND PARKING: Art History Detectives will be hosted at the United Reformed Church, 100 West Main Street in Somerville. Please park in the municipal lot behind the building, not in the church's parking lot.
