About this event

Join Riverhead native Rashad Robinson, one of America’s leading voices for social justice, in conversation with Denise Civiletti of RiverheadLOCAL about his new book, From Presence to Power: How to Take On the Fights That Matter—and Win. Over a career spanning more than two decades, Robinson has led campaigns that have shaped public policy, influenced corporate behavior, expanded representation in media, advanced LGBTQ+ rights, and contributed to criminal justice reform. As longtime president of Color Of Change, he helped build one of the nation’s most influential racial justice organizations and led major national campaigns focused on structural change. His new book, From Presence to Power, explores how individuals and communities can move beyond visibility and representation to build lasting power and create meaningful change. The program will include audience questions and a book signing. Copies of From Presence to Power will be available for purchase at the event, and attendees are also welcome to bring a previously purchased copy for Rashad to sign. Registration is required.
