Grind & Gleam: Paint-and-Bake Mortar & Pestle Workshop

About this event

Turn a humble kitchen tool into a one-of-a-kind piece of functional art. In this hands-on adult workshop, you'll decorate the outside of a ceramic mortar and pestle with oven-bake porcelain paints that cure to a glossy, enamel-like finish. Using fine paintbrushes, you'll learn how to blend and layer colors, build patterns, and add delicate details like linework, dots, and botanical accents. Whether your style is bold and graphic or soft and intricate, you'll take home a personalized set along with simple instructions for baking it in your home oven to make the design permanent. All materials provided; no experience needed. Ages 18+.
