About this event
Caregivers and little ones (ages 1.5 - 2.5) are invited to join your library friends for interactive workshop about why we lose our cool during little ones' unexpected behavior, why some of us might have big reactions that don't make sense to us (because of our own previous life trauma shaping), and tools we can use to keep ourselves regulated no matter how our kids do or don't behave.
This 45-minute workshop on parental self-regulation, led by local Certified Trauma Recovery Coach and counseling intern Erin Cupp, begins with a playful game and simple neuroscience. Parents will learn how stress, attachment, and personal history shape their reactions to their little ones’ tantrums then leave with practical tools and a personalized Calm Plan.
This program is geared toward toddlers aged 18 months to 2 1/2 and a caregiver. Siblings are permitted if necessary.
Registration is required.
