About this event
School is out! Help us create something that will welcome readers from around the world! Our brand-new Young Adult World Language collection deserves a bookshelf as vibrant and diverse as the stories it holds. Join fellow teens to paint and decorate a custom-built bookshelf while helping shape a permanent space in the library. Collaborate on color palettes, artistic designs, and cultural inspiration as we transform plain wood into a colorful celebration of language, creativity, and community. No painting experience is necessary—all supplies will be provided. Teens who participate will also be eligible to earn Student Service Learning (SSL) hours for helping improve a shared community space. Leave your mark on the library—and help create a welcoming home for books that connect us across cultures.
