About this event
Training will focus on self-determination for Transgender, Gender Non-Conforming, and Non-Binary adults. Topics covered will be name changes and identity documents, a short overview of anti-discrimination laws, with focus on the right to use preferred name and pronouns in healthcare settings, and healthcare proxies and other advance planning documents . Attendees will learn how to purse a name change and the benefits of advanced planning for LGBTQIA individuals and families.
Presenters are Empire Justice Center and Center for Elder Law and Justice ' s PrideLaw Program.
