About this event

Pulitzer Prize-winning data journalist Mona Chalabi has spent her career bridging the gap between what numbers reveal and what they conceal about who we really are. For her first book, Ten Lives: How What We Have Shapes Who We Are (Random House, 2026), Chalabi spent five years following Americans from different income brackets to explore how money shapes their lives. Join Chalabi in conversation with MIT anthropologist Graham M. Jones and wisdom historian Deepak Ramola to discuss how data, art, and storytelling can help us understand ourselves, and each other. Presented by the Wisdom Lab in collaboration with the Morningside Academy for Design. The Wisdom Lab will provide a complimentary copy of Ten Lives with each ticket. A limited number of free tickets are available for full-time students with ID. Please reach out to museumregadmin@mit.edu.
