About this event
(POSTPONED, New Date TBD)
AI tools like ChatGPT will answer almost any question in seconds. The catch is that the answer sounds just as confident whether it's right or wrong. This talk covers how to use these tools without handing over your own judgment: how to check what they tell you, when to trust them, and how to keep your own thinking sharp. We will walk through real examples, including how to catch AI when it's wrong. No technical background needed. Adults, college students, and high school students welcome.
About the Presenter: Spencer Luo lives in Great Neck. He is a tech lead at a large technology company and an adjunct professor at Columbia University, where he teaches applied machine learning. He has a PhD in AI from Carnegie Mellon and writes a monthly column on AI for the Long Island Press.
