About this event
Men and women of color including Native Americans invested themselves in fighting during the Revolution to decide the best outcome for their liberation. Their current circumstance as a dominated and enslaved people greatly limited their overall aspirations for true freedom from their current state of oppression. Nevertheless, the strength, the fortitude, and the determination to break the bonds of their enslavement and domination improved their worthiness to be a free people. In the end, the American colonies ability to win their freedom from British overlords was achieved based primarily on land advantage, number of fighters, and the colonists' ability to outlast the British by prolonging the conflict until it became too costly and too politically exhausting for Britain to sustain!
