About this event

Join us for tea and a movie!

To celebrate Native American Heritage month, we're watching the first feature length film that was written, directed, and co-produced by Native Americans: " Smoke Signals ." The film follows Victor and Thomas, who live on the Coeur d'Alene reservation in Idaho, as travel cross-country to retrieve the remains of Victor's father, Arnold. Victor and Thomas have wildly different views of Arnold. Thomas venerates him, as Arnold saved him from a fire during his childhood, while Victor resents Arnold for his alcoholism, violence and abandonment.

Rated PG-13, 90 minutes. 2021. Directed by Chris Eyre. Starring Adam Beach, Evan Adams, and Irene Bedard.

Tea and light treats will be provided.

REGISTRATION RECOMMENDED. By registering, you will receive event updates.
