About this event
Join Sacred Heart University students as they teach a fun and interactive program that introduces young children to germs and teaches them simple ways to stay healthy. Children will play Germ Fighter Bingo, using pictures and clues to learn how germs spread and how handwashing, covering coughs and sneezes, and other healthy habits can help stop them. After Bingo, children will become little scientists and create their own pretend germ inside a plastic Petri dish. While they create, we will talk about what Petri dishes are, how scientists study germs, and how we can protect ourselves from harmful germs. Each child will get to take home their one-of-a-kind germ creation as a reminder of what they learned!
This program is geared towards children ages 5+ and their families.
Registration is requested for the craft activity, but drop ins are welcome for bingo.
