ASC Culture Blocks: Telling Your Story

TELLING YOUR STORY: Transforming A Personal Moment Into A Powerful Theatrical Monologue. Everyone has a story to tell from their own journey and theatrical monologues are a fun and powerful way to share a personal experience with others. In this three-part class, participants will learn how to write and perform a theatrical monologue. Using the tools of narrative structure and creative exploration, participants will choose an emotionally meaningful moment from their own lives and transform it into a powerful theatrical monologue. At the end of this three-week class, participants will have a monologue that they will perform for an audience.

Audience: Anyone who is interested in creative growth or improving their storytelling skills through a theatrical approach. All levels of experience in writing and performing are welcome.

Duration: Each class will be two hours.
