Crochet Headband (*Ages 6-12)

About this event

Create a fun crochet headband. Practice the slip stitch and double crochet while stitching a headband.

This class is a series, held on Wednesday , November 18 at 4:00-5:00pm .

Class Duration : 1 hour

Age Requirements : 6-12*

Recommended Prerequisite : Crochet in the Round

Required Skills : Confident Beginner

Materials Fee : None

Out of District Fee : [$10 dollars per part of part of class] (includes class and materials fees)

Required Materials : Students must bring the following materials to complete the project:

Yarn(s): 250 yards of size 4/medium weight yarn

Hook(s): Size H-8 (5 mm)

Hair tie

Note : *For the safety and comfort of children, a responsible adult or caregiver must accompany children 10 years of age or younger while they are using the Library. If there is available space, you are welcome to join your child in class. If not, or you would rather not join class, you must wait within view of classroom door. Level Description Beginner Someone who grasps the most basic stitches and can finish simple patterns with aid. Confident Beginner Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns. Intermediate Someone who can follow most patterns with ease, is able to read stitches and charts, and to whom working in the round is no longer a challenge. Advanced Someone who can adjust patterns to their own preferences, substitute yarn, and produce neat results consistently in flat, round, lace, and three-dimensional projects.
