My First Book Club

About this event

Join our fun-filled First Book Club adventure! Kids read a beginner reader book before attending, then come together to dive deeper into the story through creative, hands-on activities that bring the book to life. It's the perfect way for young readers to explore, learn, and have a blast with friends! Books are distributed one week ahead of time to prepare for class. Child attends independently. Books funded by the Friends of the Library .

This weeks book is "Best Friends for Frances" by Russell Hoban:

Frances doesn't think her little sister can be her friend, but when Frances finds herself left out because of a "no-girls" rule, she decides to show those boys what girls can do. In the process, she discovers that sisters can indeed be friends . . . maybe even best friends!

Individual reservation is required for each individual class. A participant reservation will be removed if two classes of a series are missed without prior notice. However, we encourage you to place a reservation again if you anticipate your definite attendance.
