About this event
Humanity’s relationship with biodiversity has been complicated. As we emerged from a naturally embedded prehistory, we came to see ourselves as more and more separate from nature. Now we tend to value nature as resources to be extracted, rather than as family with whom our existence is inextricably linked. I hope to refocus our attention on the deep biological connections, as well as the interdependence, we share with other species, with the goal of awakening more respectful ethical consideration for our non-human kin.
