About this event
When Henry Flagler built the Hotel Ponce de Leon in St. Augustine, he made sure it was as luxurious as the hotels his guests stayed in up North. In addition to elegant furniture, soft bed linens and Tiffany windows the food had to match the finest restaurants in New York City. Using photographs, blueprints and menus, Bob Nawrocki will show what Gilded Age guests ate and how it was prepared. Robert Nawrocki was the Chief Librarian at the St. Augustine Historical Society Research Library. In 2025 after fifteen years of service, Bob retired from SAHS but continues to research and educate our communities.
