Community Chalk Art Event Rescheduled for November 14, 2026

COLUMBIA, S.C. – October 8, 2026 – One Columbia for Arts and Culture announces that Artlinc, originally scheduled for this weekend, has been postponed due to anticipated inclement weather. The event will now take place on Saturday, November 14, 2026.

While chalk art brings color and creativity to our community, one thing is certain: chalk art and rain don’t mix! With rain in the forecast, the decision to reschedule was made to ensure the best possible experience for participating artists and attendees, while keeping everyone’s safety and well-being a priority.

“We were looking forward to bringing the community together for Artlinc, but unfortunately, chalk art and rain just don’t mix,” said Xavier Blake, Executive Director of One Columbia for Arts and Culture. “We want our artists to have the opportunity to showcase their creativity and for the community to fully enjoy the experience. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and look forward to seeing everyone on November 14.”

Artlinc is an opportunity to bring artists and the community together through creativity, connection, and shared experiences. One Columbia remains committed to creating accessible opportunities for residents to engage with the arts and supporting the artists who contribute to Columbia’s vibrant cultural landscape.

One Columbia encourages the community to mark their calendars for the new date and stay connected through its website and social media channels for additional event updates.

New Event Date: Saturday, November 14, 2026
