About this event

One hundred letters. One hundred rejections. Aspiring author Deidra Parks is beginning to fear her lifelong dream of being traditionally published is slipping through her fingers. But as she navigates the sting of rejection and the weight of personal loss, an unexpected love begins to rewrite her story. To move forward, Deidra must decide if she’s willing to risk it all to find her voice—and finally claim her place at the table, even when the path forward is anything but clear.

Author bio: K. L. Lewis is a novelist and poet who writes emotionally rich stories about love, healing, and self-discovery. A retired military officer with a background in behavioral health nursing, she draws on real-life complexity to create characters that feel honest, flawed, and deeply human. When she's not writing, she enjoys Broadway musicals, getting lost in a good book, and spending time with family—finding inspiration in the quiet, meaningful moments that shape the stories she tells.
