The Arts as Witness: A Community Conversation

About this event

The Echo Foundation and Charlotte Mecklenburg Library are coming together for an engaging community event for teens that explores the power of art to bear witness, foster empathy, and inspire action! Echo student interns will share insights from their student-developed curriculum, The Arts as Witness, which examines how art can deepen understanding, encourage action, and help us engage with the realities of our world. Join us as we bring the community together in meaningful conversation and explore ways your own creative expression can bear witness to the human experience. Echo interns will also introduce their upcoming art, writing and short film contest, The Amplify Awards, open to high school students across Charlotte. Come learn, discuss, and create together.
