NaNoWriMo 101: Novel Writing Workshop

About this event

Thinking about writing a story but not sure how to start—or how to keep going once November gets busy? Join us for a kickoff workshop inspired by National Novel Writing Month designed to help you get your ideas off the ground. In this session, we’ll cover the basics of storytelling—like building characters, shaping a plot, and turning your ideas into a workable plan—plus give you practical writing prompts and simple strategies to set a realistic goal for the month. You’ll leave with a clear starting point and the momentum to actually begin your writing journey, whether you’re aiming for a full novel or just exploring creative writing for fun. Recommended for adults and teens.
