About this event
Celebrate the engineering genius of Indigenous Peoples by building an invention, landscape, or dwelling inspired by Native American innovation and culture. Will you emulate the ingenuity of Inka rope bridges by building a LEGO suspension bridge? Construct multi-story, modular adobe-style, ventilated cliff dwellings? Or explore the hydrodynamics of birchbark canoes? Or will you follow the Maya and erect a LEGO model of ancient astronomical observatories (like the Chaco Canyon structures), aligning your bricks perfectly with seasonal shadows or solstice light? Research materials provided for cultural accuracy and inspiration.
