About this event

Join The Library as we welcome back nationally recognized and award-winning storyteller Dovie Thomason, who will share stories from her Indigenous elders, family teachings, and kitchen-table wisdom. Her personal stories of Indigenous history will delight, entertain, and educate caregivers and

children of all ages.

45 minutes. Best for families with children under 8 years, but families with children on all ages are welcome. Registration is required and limited.

Drawing from her Lakota, Apache, and Scot Traveller backgound, Dovie has been a steward of Indigenous history and stories throughout her life. She has been featured at countless prominent global events, including the Kennedy Center, the National Museum of the American Indian, the Smithsonian, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, and festivals from Tennessee to Estonia and from New Zealand to New Mexico. She has shared storytelling as an Artist-in-Education on many state rosters for over thirty years.
