About this event
A conversation with historian Joel Farkas
From Christianity to Catholicism to Protestantism. From Henry VIII to the Pilgrims and the Mayflower. Joel Farkas will tell the tale of why and how the Pilgrims set sail on the Mayflower. Beginning with the Ancient Greeks through a history of explorers, we will learn of the first Thanksgiving (and the woman who made it happen), the Wampanoags, and the Mayflower legacy. Joel’s talk will prove to be a voyage to remember.
Joel Farkas is a historian who has delivered lectures at colleges and organizations throughout New Jersey. He has served as a docent at Washington's Headquarters in Morristown, NJ for 8 years, and is a recipient of the National Park Service Centennial Volunteer Challenge Award.
