About this event

Please join us for our next book club meeting!

Come into the library to borrow a copy of our

November selection “The Borrowed Life of

Frederick Fife” by Anna Johnston , or borrow it to

read or listen on Hoopla . After you finish reading

(or even if you haven’t!!) visit us on November 17

from 4-5p in the Community Room for a lively

discussion and refreshments.

Don’t forget to register on our website. This is a great way to step outside your reading comfort zone and make some new bookish friends.

Summary : Frederick Fife is an eighty-two-year-old

man with a heart full of kindness but no one left to

care for him. He is broke, desperately lonely, and

on the brink of homelessness. His luck takes a

bizarre turn when a case of mistaken identity lands

him in a local nursing home in place of Bernard

Greer. Fred must keep up the charade and hope

his look-alike never shows up. As he steps into

Bernard’s life, Fred uncovers the man’s past and

discovers what it means to leave a life better than he found it.

Copies of the book will be available at the

Reference Desk and on Hoopla.
