Teen "Cornucopia" PopDown Craft

About this event

Presented by David Udovic

Have fun coloring and assembling a paper craft with PopDown® action--a tumbling display in a Horn of Plenty! For those of you who attended last year's Flowers of the World craft program, we will review the two primary pop-up mechanisms and add a third technique that combines those two mechanisms to create arching or rotating objects. David has done programs at the library in all sessions for children and adults. He will be tailoring the complexity of the craft to meet teens where their comfort level is.

David Udovic has a lifetime of work as a fine artist over several disciplines. He has illustrated three children's picture books and numerous children's magazine stories. As a paper engineer, he has patented a greeting card line called PopDown® Cards. For the past 16 years he has presented library PopDown® craft event for children that focus on story-telling through crafts as a means to introduce STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) education concepts. He is now presenting craft workshops for adults as well. You can see his crafts in action at PopDownCards.com/events and find out more about him at DavidUdovic.com.
