Cornhusk Dolls Workshop

About this event

Join the Lenapehoking Reestablishment Project and featured artists Lia "Watching Sparrow" Gould and Ty "Dancing Wolf" Ellis for a workshop creating traditional cornhusk dolls.

Cornhusk Dolls were traditionally created as a means of telling stories, or embodying good energy, typically created without a face, but with a body and attire. Today, these dolls are still created, out of the husk of corn on a cob, with very little deviation from the traditional way of making them. This simple art is meant to be shared.
