About this event

In conjunction with our Books on Broadway: The Notebook Series come learn about the power of resilience. Research shows that resilient individuals exhibit quicker emotional and physical recovery from stressors. Studies show that high resilience is linked to fewer hospitalizations, better physical functioning, and a lower likelihood of frailty as well as a lower risk of cognitive decline. Come hear tips from presenter Barry Loffredo on how you can build resilience into your daily routine. Barry Loffredo spent his lifetime in service to others through his dental practice, teaching dental residents at Ellis Hospital, leading 25 dental missions to third world countries, and (still) facilitating classes in the Bridges Out Of Poverty Program at the Schenectady City Mission. He is an active member in The Academy For Lifelong Learning and The Senior Life Transitions Program, both in Saratoga. Barry is a certified life coach specializing in health & wellness and time management, husband to one, father to four, "Papa" to four, biddy basketball coach, mentor, and educator. Part of our Books on Broadway Program Series: by attending this program, you will be entered for a chance to win a set of tickets to The Notebook at Proctors Theatre.
