About this event

Pick of the Litter: The Phenomenon of Feline Film Star, Orangey

Join Doreen Marshall, a dancer, costume designer, and aficionado of the films of the Golden Age of Hollywood to view and discuss four superb films featuring an in-demand tabby cat who appeared in many classic films and TV shows in the 1950's and 1960's.

On October 30, we will watch The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957). Existentialism meets science fiction in this low-budget psychological drama when a man begins to shrink after he is exposed to radiation & medical science is powerless to help him. The movie's subtext addresses the era's mounting fears of nuclear annihilation.

Directed by: Jack Arnold

Starring: Grant Williams, Randy Stuart, April Kent, Orangey
