About this event
We are a Boston Public Library book group for adults that reads a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction. We meet on the 1st Thursday of every month at 6:00 pm at the Central Library in Copley Square.
Our November theme is "Ann Patchett" and we will be reading Bel Canto by Ann Patchett.
Fiction. Somewhere in South America, a lavish birthday party is being held in honor of the powerful businessman Mr. Hosokawa. It is a perfect evening—until a band of gun-wielding terrorists takes the entire party hostage.
A VAILABILITY: Copies will be available for pick up at the Central Library Borrower Services desk after the previous month's discussion, until they are gone, or you may place holds on other copies or formats via the library catalog.
REGISTRATION: Please fill out this form to subscribe to the email list at least one week prior to the discussion date.
Accessibility Notice : We strive to make our events accessible. To request a disability accommodation and/or language services, contact the department listed in the "Contact Info" pane on the right. Please allow at least two weeks to arrange accommodation.
