About this event
Join us as we continue our annual tradition of a historical cemetery walk. This year we will be exploring the Slate Hill Cemetery in Yardley, PA. Slate Hill Cemetery has the oldest known headstone in Bucks County, dating to 1698. The Lower Makefield Township Historical Commission has generously volunteered to give us a guided tour. The Slate Hill Cemetery is located at 2308 Yardley Morrisville Rd, Yardley, PA 19067. However, there is no parking lot. So, we will be meeting at the Delaware Canal Towpath Black Rock Road Access lot and walking 1 mile to the cemetery. The Access lot is at the intersection of Black Rock Road and the towpath. If you are unable to make the walk, the LMT Historical Commission has pointed out that there is an empty Wells Fargo parking lot across the street that is available. If you plan to park there, meet us at the cemetery at 10:30 AM.
