About this event
Create your own beautiful clay tealight holder inspired by the elegant form of a flower, and get ready to welcome the season with the warm glow of a candlelight. In this hands-on workshop, participants will work with terracotta clay while learning basic clay modeling and sculpting techniques to shape delicate petals and assemble a layered tealight holder. To make the process approachable for all skill levels, petal templates will be provided to help guide the shaping and structure of the design. Guided step-by-step, you’ll explore the calming and tactile process of working with clay while crafting a piece that is both decorative and meaningful. No prior clay experience is needed—just bring your creativity and curiosity. All materials will be provided, and each participant will take home their handcrafted tealight holder, perfect for adding a warm, handmade glow to any space. Led by arts instructor Smriti Sangal, this workshop is open to Livingston Library cardholders 18 and up only with registration. Space is limited. This event is made possible with the support of The Friends of the Livingston Public Library.
