Falcon Repertory Company Presents: A Life in the Theatre

About this event

Rescheduled from Thursday, October 15th & Saturday, October 17th

A Life in the Theatre by David Mamet is a witty and insightful two-person play that explores the complex relationship between an experienced stage actor and a young newcomer. Set entirely backstage during a repertory season, the play follows the veteran Robert as he attempts to mentor—and sometimes compete with—his ambitious colleague John. Through a series of short scenes that unfold between performances, rehearsals, and dressing-room conversations, Mamet reveals the insecurities, rivalries, humor, and fragile ego that come with life in the theater.

Both sharp and surprisingly tender, A Life in the Theatre offers an entertaining glimpse into the realities of the acting profession while examining themes of mentorship, aging, ambition, and the passage of time. Perfect for theater lovers and anyone curious about what happens behind the curtain.
