About this event

Join New Bedford Whaling Museum docents Capt. Michael Taylor and Nancy Gentile for an illustrated journey aboard the Lagoda , a 19th-century whaling ship. Learn about life at sea, the whale hunt, ship design, and the evolution of the industry—from New Bedford and Nantucket to the Arctic and beyond.

About the Presenters:

Capt. Michael Taylor served in the British Merchant Navy for over 20 years and later worked in maritime trade and management.

Nancy Gentile , a former librarian and Head of Adult Services at Robbins Library, has been a docent since 2017 and leads engaging tours for students and adults.
