About this event

"Slow Stitch" is a mindful, meditative hand-sewing practice where the joyful, relaxed process of making marks on cloth matters more than the final product. It uses basic fabric scraps, threads, and simple stitches and embroidery techniques with no rigid patterns or rules. This meet-up group ONLY. You should already have a project that you are working on or you should have taken one of the beginner workshops. The Meet-up is not a workshop or tutorial. It is an opportunity for us to work on our stitch projects together in community. To learn Slow Stitching so that you can develop a project, you can register for our Wednesday class that happens the second Wednesday of every month from 5:30 pm to 7 pm. Where a sweater or bring a shawl as the gallery is cold.
