About this event
Onshape Boat Race is a new two-day course. On the first day, participants will learn fundamental CAD skills in Onshape in order to make a small boat. On the second day, we will bring 3D prints of the boat designs, which participants will use to assemble a boat. Whoever makes the fastest boat wins a prize. Participants, ages 10+ years, will need to bring a laptop computer or Chromebook. The Scarsdale Robo Raiders will help participants create Education Edition Onshape accounts. This process requires a student's graduation year, school URL, school name, and school email Learning Initiative For Technology (LIFT) to introduce students to practical and emerging STEM topics in an accessible, interactive way. Through LIFT, our team has developed programs that combine clear explanations with hands-on activities and demonstrations. Presented by Scarsdale Robo Raiders, a high school robotics team from Scarsdale High School
