About this event

Learn the basics of paper circuits and celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights, by making your own light-up diya (lamp). Space is limited. Free tickets available 15 minutes before program.

Diyas are traditionally small clay oil lamps lit as part of Diwali celebrations. Attendees build an electrical circuit using copper tape, an LED and a battery to create a paper diya that lights up.

This program is a part of the Maryland STEM Festival.
