About this event
We discuss the graphic novel Shy Cat and the Stuff-the-Bus Challenge by author Dian Day and illustrator Amanda White.
Best friends Mila and Kit spend their days hanging out at the skate park or petting the neighborhood cats. Mila’s focus is on drawing her Shy Cat comics; while Kit’s is usually occupied with eating afternoon snacks. After an incident at their school's food drive, Mila notices that Kit might not always have enough food to eat. Readers learn the importance of supporting friends through tough times.
Recommended for ages 9-12. Plus, stick around after the discussion for a fun activity inspired by the book.
