About this event

@

In this hands-on workshop, participants will meet artist Lauren Shapiro and learn how she is creating the sculptures for her upcoming exhibition, What is Gathered Remains , at Naples Botanical Garden. Drawing from the Garden’s seed bank, a hidden wonder of plant species native to Florida and the Caribbean, participants will cut and arrange motifs onto special kiln paper, building compositions inspired by the textures and forms of specific plants from the collection. Participants’ kiln paper collages will then be transported and fired at Lauren’s studio, transforming designs into cast glass tiles contributing to the exhibition.
