About this event
Marc Berger and his band will be performing songs from a new boundary stretching album called Folk Music. It takes its concept from this sentence in the Preface to Walt Whitman's 1855 edition of Leaves of Grass: "It is the attitude of the greatest poet to horrify despots and cheer up slaves." Marc is a nationally touring artist based out of NY and has performed at Austin’s South X Southwest and the Kerrville and Falcon Ridge Folk Festivals, and has opened shows for Bob Dylan and other national acts. His song The Last One was a staple of Richie Havens concerts and Marc and the band will perform it as part of this special event. The Ridgefield Folk Concert Series is made possible through the generous support of the Friends of the Ridgefield Library. Please register below.
