About this event
Honor Alachua County’s fallen Vietnam War veterans during a Veterans Day presentation with author Andy Adkins. A U.S. Navy and Vietnam War veteran, Adkins researched archives and interviewed family members and friends to write “The ‘Nam AC-48,” which remembers the 48 men from Alachua County who died during the war. Adkins will share stories from the book and discuss the research behind preserving their memories. Books will be available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1092.
