About this event

Scams targeting older adults have changed dramatically in the past couple of years. Join cybersecurity professional William Guthier for a practical, plain-language session on what is currently circulating: phone calls that copy a family member's voice, fake Medicare and Social Security calls, fake texts and emails, pop-up warnings, and investment fraud. For each one, you will learn what it looks like, how it works, and how to stop it. Nothing will be super technical, there will be time for questions at the end, and every attendee receives a take-home guide to share with family.
