About this event
As the evening mist settles, join us for an unforgettable Halloween celebration inspired by the haunting beauty and folklore of the American South. Shadows in the Galleries: A Night of Southern Gothic & Hauntings invites guests aged 21+ to explore OMA after hours, where unexpected wonders lurk around every corner.
Encounter immersive performance art by Phantasmagoria, Central Florida’s renowned Victorian and Steampunk storytelling troupe, whose eerie characters will guide guests through a night where the mysterious and the macabre meet under moonlight.
Throughout the evening, enjoy passed hors d’oeuvres from Uncommon Catering, sip spooky cocktails from a cash bar, dance the night away to a spellbinding set by DJ SmilnDan, and capture your most enchanting disguise at the SugarPop Productions photo booth.
Whether you arrive as a ghostly belle, a wayward spirit, or something altogether more sinister, costumes are strongly encouraged. And keep an eye on the shadows. Phantom judges will be searching for the evening’s most memorable looks, with the chance to win coveted prizes including OMA memberships, exclusive merchandise, and tickets to the highly anticipated 13th annual Florida Prize in Contemporary Art Opening Preview Party…so plan accordingly.
