About this event
Spiroglyphics are a type of visual art and puzzle book activity where a page appears to be a simple, continuous spiral line until you color it in. At first glance, the page looks like a dizzying, abstract set of concentric or continuous spiral lines (much like a fingerprint or a vinyl record groove). Using a marker, or fine-liner (often a black felt-tip) and follow the spiral line, coloring in specific sections or varying widths as you move from the outside to the center. As you fill in the lines, the shaded areas interact with the uncolored negative space to form a recognizable portrait, animal, landmark, or pop-culture icon. Listen to a playlist of the artist and color in the Spiroglyphic to reveal who it is.
