Pixel Forge: Retro Fusion Beads

About this event

Pixel Forge is a hands-on teen program where participants turn their own pixel-art designs into durable, wearable, or display-ready pieces using fusion beads. Teens start by sketching on pixel grid paper (or a free online pixel editor on library laptops), working within the tight constraints of a grid the way early video game artists did with 8-bit sprites. They then translate the design bead by bead onto pegboards and fuse it with an iron under ironing paper to lock it together.
