About this event
In partnership with JFK Medical Center-Hackensack Meridian Health.
Winter safety means preventing cold-related problems like frostnip, frostbite, and hypothermia (a medical emergency when body temperature drops below 95°F), and avoiding falls by taking small steps, using handrails, and rolling into a fall instead of catching yourself with your arms. For winter driving, get your vehicle ready, keep emergency supplies in the car, leave at least six seconds of following distance, and if you skid, steer the way you're sliding without pumping ABS brakes.
Hackensack Meridian Health offers an extensive catalog of well-organized and diversified health programs aimed at promoting wellness and disease prevention.
