About this event
The Tenement Museum's virtual tours offer a chance to 'visit' its recreated apartments from anywhere in the world. During this live, online interactive event, a Tenement Museum educator will share stories of the Rogarshevsky family who lived at 97 Orchard Street in New York City, using video, audio recordings, images, historical documents, and photographs. We'll learn how this Jewish family of Lithuanian immigrants earned a living in the garment industry in the 1910s, and how that work impacted their experiences at home. Space is limited. Registration is required to receive the Zoom link. This event will not be recorded This event is presented as part of the Yiddish Book Center's Public Libraries Program, a partnership with the American Library Association. Made possible by the Lilly Endowment, Inc. This program is graciously shared with us by our friends at the New Providence Memorial Library
