About this event

An email address is increasingly necessary to function in daily life. Join Jonathan Hecker, one of the library's Tech Room assistants, to get back to email basics and learn how to effectively and safely use them as part of your online life. We will take a comprehensive look at email, covering basic concepts such as composing an email message, the creation of strong passwords and 2-factor authentication, keeping your inboxes organized, and questions of security. Jonathan will demonstrate step by step using live examples. Participants are welcome - but not required - to bring their own devices to follow along. There will be time for brief questions and answers at the end of the presentation. No prior computer skills are needed to attend. Have a more involved tech question? Consider making a Tech Time appointment. Scarsdale Library cardholders can register for a 30 minute session with one of our library assistants for dedicated help with basic technology questions. Review topics we can assist with and make an appointment at the Tech Room and Business Center page of our website.
